I chose to do my article on the Edmonton Oilers because I have been playing hockey since i was about 6 and I have loved it ever since. Because hockey is my favorite sport, I decided to do my project on my favorite team. I also thought  it might be interesting to learn a little bit more about them. In the past, I have done projects about Wayne Gretzky, because he was probably the best player in NHL history and he played for my favorite team, but this time I decided that it would be interesting to learn more about the actual team and their history instead of just the players who played for them.

In this special edition of Oilers Digest, we will be talking about how it all began with this great team. We will be taking you through their early years as a team and how they rose to the top of the standings. We will also be informing you about how they managed to set so many records during their dynasty years. I hope you will enjoy reading about this great team as much as i enjoyed writing it.
